Formerly known as Waterford Park.

Parking on Waterford Way by the dam, and on the east side. The trails have no blazing.

Two access paths, from Water Lily and Waterford Way.

Features two spring-fed lakes, Toad’s Pond and Blackwell Springs Lake. They were created by developer Ken Rice and named after long-time Big Canoe employees Floyd Blackwell and J.W. “Toad” Matthews. Later the trails were added by Cynthia Hendry. They have since been maintained by the Trails Committee.

The trails are easy and are connected by a steep segment called Heart Attack Hill. Overall, the walking experience is one of serenity, brought by the reflective water and the rich plant and animal life. At the top end of Blackwell Springs Lake there is a beautiful, arched wooden bridge made by Charles Hammontree, with an adjacent bench for relaxation. The lakes are stocked with bass, bream and catfish.
