The main entrance is on Steve Tate Hwy, just north of the Main Gate. There  is also parking on Trotters Lane.

Big Canoe Chapel’s Jimmy Allen Meditation Park is the official name, in honor of the Chaplain who had the vision for the creation of this lovely park. It consists of a botanical garden, a cemetery, walking trails and activity centers.

The trails feature hemlocks, rhododendron and mountain laurel. For the most part they flank the shores of Blackwell Creek, which flows over a rock ledges and around huge boulders.

South of the covered bridge are stacked stone columns, remnants of a bridge over 100 years old.
